North-West Air Navigation

The Branch “North-West Air Navigation” provides ATM services in the airspace of Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod, Vologda, Murmansk and Kaliningrad regions, the republic of Karelia, Arkhangelsk region, part of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, and also over the areas of Baltic, Barents, Kara seas and the Arctic ocean.

Coverage area – 3 mln km². The length of air routes segments is 23 397 km, 15 168 km of them are international. The branch area responsibility includes 9 airports, with 4 of them being international. The branch cooperates with 10foreign ATM centres (FIRs): Anchorage (USA), Reykjavik (Iceland), Bodo (Norway), Tampere (Finland), Malmö (Sweden), Warsaw (Poland), Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Minsk (Belarus). The branch operates all the key airflows from the European and American states to the East and South-East Asia being transit in the Russian airspace.
