On 14-17 July 2008 at the invitation of the DFS management (German air navigation service provider) the delegation of the State ATM Corporation headed by Valery Gorbenko, Director General, visited Germany.
In the course of the visit the delegation was informed on DFS activities, provision of air navigation service in German airspace and its specifics, ATCOs training and refresher courses provided by DFS.
The delegation called on the DFS headquarters, the Academy, the Area Control Centre, the research simulation facility and the simulation centre in Langen.

On 17 July 2008 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) identifying key areas of further cooperation and coordination procedures for its implementation was signed between DFS and the State ATM Corporation.

On 17 January 2008, the work on consolidation of Magadan Area Control Centre of the Joint ATM System of the Russian Federation within “North-East Air Navigation” branch of the State ATM Corporation was completed in accordance with the Strategic plan on ACCs consolidation approved by A. Neradko, Head of the Federal Air Navigation Authority (Rosaeronavigatsia).

CANSO WELCOMES STATE ATM CORPORATION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AS NEW FULL MEMBER

On 18 January 2008, according to the established procedure, FSUE “State ATM Corporation” notified the Secretariat of the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) of its intention to join the Organisation as a Full Member. The State ATM Corporation’s Full Membership application was approved by CANSO Chairman and Secretary General, full ratification of this approval by the Executive Committee will take place on 9 March 2008 at the CEO Meeting in Amsterdam.

Following an agreement reached on the margins of the recent 36th session of the ICAO Assembly, on 15-16 November 2007 the State ATM Corporation held consultations with officials representing IATA and foreign airlines

Following an earlier agreement, negotiations between delegations of the Federal Air Navigation Authority (FANA), the State ATM Corporation and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) were held in Moscow on 5-6 June 2007.

On 4-9 June 2007 the 40th European football cup among air traffic controllers’ teams took place in the Netherlands (Amsterdam). 51 teams from 32 countries participated in the event including a picked team of the State ATM Corporation “Rossiya” and its branch “Moscow Air Traffic Control Centre”.

On 24-26 April 2007 the final contest of air traffic controllers’ professional skills was held at St.Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation. 35 participants from Russia who won in regional contests displayed their knowledge and skills.

On 28 March 2007 “Honour of Russia” Award Ceremony was held at the Reception Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

On April 5, 2007 during his working trip to the Far East Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Fradkov visited Magadan ACC (“North-East Air Navigation” branch of FSUE “State ATM Corporation”) and gave a positive evaluation of the work of our enterprise in a difficult period of reorganization.

“Russian Snowmen”, the hockey team of the State ATM Corporation, having repeated its sensational success in 2004 has again won the 2007 World Hockey Championship Cup among air traffic controllers’ teams.

On 12-15 February 2007 a delegation of the State ATM Corporation headed by Director Corporate Development Nail A.Shabaev visited Maastricht (the Netherlands), where it took part in the CANSO CEO Conference as well as in ATC Maastricht 2007 Exhibition and Conference.

Quality Management System of the Enterprise has been approved as meeting the International Standard ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

On the initiative of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise, “State ATM Corporation”, an international conference, “Future of the ATM System in the Eastern Part of the ICAO European Region” was held in Moscow on 17-18 January 2007.

On 19-22 December 2006 in the subdivisions of the Head Office of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise, “State ATM Corporation” and of the Moscow Automated Air Traffic Control Centre (MAATCC) branch underwent a Quality Management System (QMS) certification audit according to the International Standard ISO 9001:2000.

The air traffic controllers of “Central Volga Air Navigation” branch accused by local prosecutors of infringing international flight rules, were cleared after pleading not guilty by the Pervomaysky Сourt of the city of Penza due to the absence of corpus delicti.

On 6-11 November 2006 a delegation of the State ATM Corporation headed by Director General Oleg N. Alekseev visited Beijing, where it took part in the Russian National Exhibition organized within the framework of the Year of Russia in China, and held meetings with the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) as well as with representatives of Chinese airlines.
