13th Regional Baltic Area ANSP Meeting Held in Sweden

The 13^th Regional Baltic Area Air Navigation Service Providers’ Meeting was held in Stockholm, Sweden, last week. The meeting was attended by delegates from Russia, Belarus, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia. The Russian delegation was headed by State ATM Corporation Deputy Director General Nikita Danilov.

Mr. Danilov informed the meeting on the Corporation’s activities, changes in air traffic volumes, the ACC consolidation programme and further development plans. He also presented the new Flight Management Centre of State ATM Corporation Moscow ATC Centre branch, made operational recently.

The meeting participants shared information on recent ATC developments, ongoing efficiency enhancement activities, as well as steps taken to strengthen the competitive edge of national ANSPs. In addition, the meeting provided a forum for a valuable exchange of views on a number of issues, including prospects for the development and enhancement of cooperation.

The next meeting will take place in September 2018 in Denmark.
