It is worth noting that only three teams represented the European continent, of which two teams from Russia and one from Slovenia.
World ATC Hockey Tournament unlike professional hockey uses a ten score system, where only 3 points can be scored in one game. Moreover, there is no playoff game and the winner is determined by total points.
Both Russian teams showed an interesting and exciting game and gave their fans unforgettable experience. “SnowMen” scored 30 points and ranked first in the “A” division and “SnowBalls” were the second in the “B” division (20 scores). A team from Cleveland (USA) with 34 points became world champion and ATCOs from Gander (Canada) with 33 points came second. Awards as “the best goalkeeper” were given to Konstantin Mikhalev from the State ATM Corporation.
The next World ATC Hockey Tournament will be held in St. Petersburg (Russia) in April 2018.
