8 CIS ANSPs conducted meeting in Brest
5 June 2015, Brest, the Republic of Belarus, the «Eurasia» Coordination Council and the Coordination Group of Experts conducted their 30-th meeting. It was attended by the following ANSPs’ from the CIS States (Commonwealth of Independent States): the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting reviewed and discussed ATM and ASM regulations and airspace structure improvements in the CIS region. The CEOs of the ANSPs’ provided latest updates on respective air navigation services enterprises – members of «Eurasia» Coordination Council.
Based on the meeting outcomes, several proposals were included into the future work programme of the «Eurasia» Coordination Council and the Coordination Group of Experts.
Next meeting will be held in Astana (the Republic of Kazakhstan), September, 9-11, 2015.
The «Eurasia» Coordination Council was established in 1999 to improve connectivity within the CIS States. Currently, it comprises 8 ANSPs. The Chairman of the Coordination Council is Mr. Ulumbek Rakhmanov, Director General of Kyrgyzaeronavigatsia.
