A letter of Central Volga Air Navigation ATCOs

The air traffic controllers of “Central Volga Air Navigation” branch accused by local prosecutors of infringing international flight rules, were cleared after pleading not guilty by the Pervomaysky Сourt of the city of Penza due to the absence of corpus delicti.

The following is the text of the letter of the said air traffic controllers addressed to the Director General of the State ATM Corporation.

Dear Oleg Nikolayevich,

V. Koshelev, O.Trusin, Y. Kolchugin, V. Strashko - air traffic controllers of “Central Volga Air Navigation” branch - are addressing you with this letter.

You are well aware of the fact that we found ourselves in a very difficult situation when the General Prosecutor’s Office initiated a criminal case against us. The legal proceedings lasted for more than a year. We were cleared of the charge due to the absence of corpus delicti. 

Dear Oleg Nikolayevich, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you, to Director of the “Central Volga Air Navigation” branch Mr. V. Bobylev, to Mr. Y. Oskolkov, Head of the Penza ATC Centre, to the Management of the State ATM Corporation and of our branch, to the lawyers - i.e. to all those who did not abandon us in this trying hour and rendered legal, material and moral support.
