Adoption of Galaxy ATС System at the Rostov-on-Don Regional Centre

The new system is certified by the Federal Air Transport Agency and was deployed as a replacement to the obsolete ATC automation system from Spanish company Indra, which had been in operation since 2004.

The implementation of the new automation system had been preceded by thorough mutual work with the view of manufacturing, delivering, installing, fine-tuning and testing the equipment, as well as training of air traffic control, airspace management and CNS staff.

The adoption of the new system for air traffic control developed by JSC Azimut and delivered by Almaz-Antey Corporation will allow enhancing airspace capacity, raising service quality and ensuring flight safety in the airspace of the Russian South as a whole.
