On 9-10 June 2018 Moscow hosted the European Open Powerlifting Championship under the auspices of the World Powerlifting Federation. The competition included following disciplines: powerlifting, bench press, deadlift and multi-repeat benchpress. State ATM Corporation’s Moscow ATC Centre was represented by Marina Kamyshnikova, Specialist of the Corporate Social Policy Department and the captain of Moscow ATCC Gym team. She participated in the open category (under 56 kg) and ranked first with the result of 155 kg deadlift.

“Sport is like a therapy for maintaining physical and mental health and is an integral part of the intellectual and aesthetic development. Such competitions are filled with festive atmosphere, excitement and great energy. Competitors try to show their capacities and crave victory. All categories and nominations are characterized by tense struggle for the first place. This time the Championship has brought together athletes from the Russian Federation, Poland, Moldova, Angola and other countries. Deadlift is my strong suit and I cannot lose under any circumstances”, Marina Kamyshnikova commented.

“I would like to emphasize that the FSUE “State ATM Corporation” management and Director General Igor Moiseenko, in particular, pay much attention to active and healthy lifestyle of employees. Sport is seen as a key to well-being and good mood and therefore high work efficiency. The Corporation promotes values of healthy lifestyle, sport and active leisure. Success at work goes hand in hand with a proactive approach to life. Today the Moscow ATC Centre team is preparing for another tournament, which will be held in August in honour of the Russian Air Fleet Day. Regional branches are looking forward to the major tournament 2018 – 3rd State ATM Corporation Russian Benchpress Cup dedicated to the International Day of the Air Traffic Controller”, the athlete added.

Marina Kamyshnikova has become the world championship winner for the fifth time, which is a great achievement because powerlifting means figures. In 2017, she reached the Elite level in powerlifting and deadlift. Marina Kamyshnikova is also a three-time world champion and a two-time European champion. She dedicated her victory and records, marking the 95thanniversary of Russian civil aviation and 45th anniversary of the Joint ATM System to the Moscow ATC Centre and the State ATM Corporation.
