Four airports in the southern Russia to be closed due to military drills

Due to Caucasus 2016 strategic command-and-staff military drills, Southern military district, international airports of Simferopol, Anapa (Vityazevo) and Krasnodar (Pashkovsky) are to be closed from 08:30 until 12:30 Moscow time on Thursday, 8 September 2016, both for arriving and departing aircraft. Apart from that, Rostov-on-Don international airport will be closed on the same day from 09:30 until 10:30 Moscow time. Relevant NOTAMs were disseminated to Russian airspace users in advance.

We remind you that Simferopol airport is within the area of responsibility of “Crimea Air Navigation” Branch, while the other three are within the area of responsibility of the “South Air Navigation” Branch of the FSUE “State ATM Corporation”.
