Magadan Flight Control Centre takes over responsibilities for ATS from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky ACC

On 28 April 2016, at 00:00 UTC, responsibilities for air traffic management in the upper airspace of “EAST” Sector of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky ACC were transferred to «Kamchatka-1» Sector of Magadan Flight Control Centre in full compliance with the Russian Federation Government Decree № 652 dated 01.09.2008 on approval of Federal Target Programme of Russian ATM System modernization (2009-2020) and Magadan ACC consolidation Action Plan.

This transfer means that air traffic services above 8,100 metres will be provided by “North-East Air Navigation” Branch of State ATM Corporation instead of “Kamchatka Air Navigation” Branch.
