Minor Airspace Restrictions in Moscow Terminal Area Due to Victory Parade Airshow Rehearsals

FSUE “State ATM Corporation” would like to inform that due to the rehearsals of the Victory Parade Airshow on 4 and 6 May, as well as the actual Parade on 9 May 2018, short-term airspace restrictions will be introduced at some airports of the Moscow area.

Terminal airspace will be closed on the above dates as follows:

Sheremetyevo airport: from 10:40 to 11:05 Moscow time

Vnukovo airport: from 10:50 to 11:15 Moscow time

Domodedovo airport: from 10:50 to 11:15 Moscow time

Ostafyevo airport: from 10:50 to 11:15 Moscow time

Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) airport: from 10:50 to 11:15 Moscow time

Kaluga (Grabtsevo) airport: from 09:40 to 10:25 Moscow time

The above restrictions are short-term and therefore will have no serious impact on the normal operations of the airports, namely Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. The Victory Parade Airshow rehearsals that already took place in April also involved airspace restrictions; however, no air traffic management problems occurred thanks to the well-coordinated efforts of the Moscow ATC Centre and Main ATM Centre.

Airlines and airports have already been notified of the restrictions to be imposed. They will be responsible for adjusting timetables if required to avoid delays, and informing passengers of possible changes.

5 and 8 May are alternative days for the Victory Parade Airshow rehearsals. These dates may be involved in case of adverse weather conditions on 4 and 6 May.
