‘Open Skies’ Implemented at Khrabrovo Airport

Starting from 1 October 2022, an open skies policy is introduced at Kaliningrad’s airport.

The development allows foreign airlines to operate flights to/from Kaliningrad using the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh freedoms of the air. The open skies policy is introduced for a period of two years.

The Russian aviation authorities made the decision to liberalize air traffic within Kaliningrad airspace at the request of the Governor of the Kaliningrad region.

The new opportunities will allow Khrabrovo Airport to expand the geography of the region’s air connections and to attract new air carriers.
