PANSA Delegation Visits State ATM Corporation

On 14-15 March representatives of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) paid an official visit to State ATM Corporation as part of preparations by the national ANSPs to provide air traffic services during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Russian side was represented by Deputy Director General Sergey Pogrebnov and Director for International Relations and Protocol Peter Shipil. The Polish ANS Agency delegation included Director for ATM Marcin Wilkowski and Acting Director for Strategy and International Affairs Janusz Janiszewski.

State ATM Corporation experts presented information on ongoing preparations for the upcoming important sports event, shared practical experience in handling major events hosted by the Russian Federation including the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, and discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between State ATM Corporation and PANSA. The Polish side, in its turn, informed the meeting of PANSA development prospects up to 2030 and key priorities, shared experience in managing air traffic during the UEFA Euro 2012 Football Championship.

In addition, the parties discussed urgent air traffic flow and capacity management issues, as well as prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation. The Polish delegation also visited the new Flight Management Centre of State ATM Corporation Moscow ATC Centre branch and got familiar with its operations. The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere. As a result of the meeting the two ANSPs agreed to continue regular contacts.
