Russia – China Meeting Held at State ATM Corporation

A coordination meeting on ATM and CNS issues between the State ATM Corporation and the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (ATMB CAAC) was held on 25–26 July 2017.

The Chinese delegation was headed by ATMB CAAC Director General Mr. Jinjun Che. The State ATM Corporation was represented by Director General Igor Moiseenko, Deputy Director General Nikita Danilov, as well as directors and experts of key business units.

The Russian side presented an update on air traffic volumes and flow distribution in the Russian airspace, and informed the ATMB CAAC representatives on the status of ACC consolidation, as well as ADS and GBAS development in the Russian Federation. The ATMB CAAC representatives provided an overview of the Chinese air navigation system and steps taken to increase the efficiency of air traffic services.

The parties exchanged opinions on the improvement of operating procedures in the interface area between Russia and China, and discussed issues pertaining to the opening of new entry/exit corridors.

The ATMB CAAC delegates also visited Moscow ACC, where they were shown the current and new ATC centres.

The delegations have coordinated further activities as part of bilateral cooperation.
