Russian Air Traffic Controllers Team Wins World Hockey Championship
“Russian Snowmen”, the hockey team of the State ATM Corporation, having repeated its sensational success in 2004 has again won the 2007 World Hockey Championship Cup among air traffic controllers’ teams.
“Russian Snowmen”, the hockey team of the State ATM Corporation, having repeated its sensational success in 2004 has again won the 2007 World Hockey Championship Cup among air traffic controllers’ teams.
On 6-10 March 2007 34th World Hockey Championship among ATCOs was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 19 teams participated in this event including teams from the USA, Canada, Slovakia and Finland. 25 hockey players from Salekhard, Kolpashevo, Samara, Ufa and Moscow represented the Russian Federation.
Finally, the Russian air traffic controllers’ team scored 39 out of 40, passing the team from Detroit by 4 points.
