State ATM Corporation ATC Hockey Team Wins Silver Medal

On 4-7 April 2016, 43th International Air Traffic Controllers Hockey Tournament was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 22 teams took part in this competition.
State ATM Corporation team being the current world champion easily overcame group stage. However, fortune favoured home players in a final game – in a tough struggle the US team outscored Russia 8:7.

Personal awards as “the most efficient players” were given to Andrei Bashmakov, controller of Ural Air Navigation branch and Konstantin Karpov, controller of North Siberia Air Navigation. Maksim Khizhnyakov, controller of South Air Navigation and Alexander Rydchenko, student of Ulyanovsk Higher Aviation School of Civil Aviation (Institute) were recognized as “the best defensive players”.
