State ATM Corporation Holds Negotiations with AustroControl

The State ATM Corporation held negotiations with Austria’s air navigation service provider, AustroControl, in Moscow on 8 – 9 June with the view of developing bilateral cooperation and sharing best ATM practices. The State ATM Corporation was represented by Director General Igor Moiseenko, Deputy Director General Sergey Pogrebnov, Director for International Relations and Protocol Peter Shipil, Director for ATM and ASM Igor Sitnikov, and other officials. The Austrian ANSP was represented by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Heinz Sommerbauer, Chief Operating Officer Thomas Hoffmann, Director for Know-how and New Services Alexander Sauter, and Key Account Manager Erwin Rischan.

The parties exchanged information on their activities and ongoing projects.  AustroControl representatives shared their experience in Wide-Area Multilateration implementation and operation in Austria. The parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation on procedure design and flight safety.

The AustroControl delegates also visited the Moscow ATC Centre, where they were shown the current and new control centres. The Austrian ANSP representatives appreciated all the arrangements made for the meeting and thanked the Russian side for their hospitality.
