State ATM Corporation participates in ATC Global 2015

On 5-7 October 2015, Dubai, UAE hosted the ATC Global Exhibition. The Exhibition celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. The participants of the event included ANSPs from Canada, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, UAE, UK, and over 60 manufacturers of ATC systems, surveillance, voice communications, avionics, LCD displays, meteorological equipment, navigation aids, simulators etc.

The event also featured over 10 dedicated seminars covering the development and implementation of advanced ATC technologies and procedures.

The State ATM Corporation was represented by Deputy Directors General Sergey Pogrebnov and Nikita Danilov, as well as Director for International Relations Peter Shipil and Director for Federal Target Programmes and Modernization Konstantin Kaplya.

The Exhibition was coupled with a 3-day International Conference titled “Connecting the Continents”, which provided a forum for international experts to share their view of the future aviation and ATM industry development.

During the Conference, Mr. Nikita Danilov gave a speech on Russia and global ATM interoperability. In his speech Mr. Danilov dwelt upon the harmonization of the national air navigation system with regional ATM systems, as well as its integration with the Global Air Navigation System. Also, Mr. Danilov took part in a session called “Aviation Leadership Summit – Meeting the Demand”, where he briefly spoke on the crucial role of air transport development in providing sustainable economic and social development, Joint ATM System modernization in the Russian Federation, advanced technology implementation and ATM and ASM enhancement.

Additionally, a joint ICAO/IATA seminar was held on 4-6 October. The seminar provided update on regional and global ASBU modernization and was also attended by some of the State ATM Corporation’s experts.

Within the framework of ATC Global 2015, the delegation of the State ATM Corporation held a range of meetings with the Russian and international manufacturers of air navigation equipment, visited the tower and the world’s largest tower simulator at Al Maktoum International Airport (Dubai).

The next ATC Global Exhibition will be hosted in Beijing, China, 12-14 September 2016.
