State ATM Corporation Takes Part in ICAO Virtual Meeting

The kick-off virtual meeting of the Working Group on the ICAO European Region Aviation System Planning Group (EASPG) Structure took place on 11 March.

The meeting was attended by experts from the United Kingdom, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Ireland, Poland, the Russian Federation, France, Uzbekistan, as well as ICAO, EUROCONTROL, the European Commission, IATA, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). State ATM Corporation was represented by Deputy Director General Yuri Tokarev, Director for ATM and ASM Igor Sitnikov, and Head of International Relations division Elena Gracheva.

The regional working structure optimisation was launched in 2016 and represents an evolutionary process implying the broadening of terms of reference and the establishment of new working groups.

The meeting participants were presented with a status report by the ICAO Regional Office; discussed draft generic Terms of Reference for EASPG Working Groups/ Task Forces/ Project Teams, as well as guidelines for the establishment and work of project teams; and outlined further steps to optimise the EASPG working structure.

The next meeting is scheduled for May 2021.
