The 37th joint meeting of Coordination Council and Coordination Group of Experts "Eurasia" takes place in Kazakhstan

The 37th joint meeting of Coordination Council and Coordination Group of Experts "Eurasia" took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 23 to 26 September 2019.

The 37th joint meeting of Coordination Council and Coordination Group of Experts "Eurasia" took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 23 to 26 September 2019.

The meeting was attended by more than 80 representatives from ANSPs of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as delegates from industry and aviation organizations –International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).

Eurasia CC members presented reports on the activities performed since the 36th meeting held this April, heard the report of the Coordination Group of Experts and discussed the prospects of further cooperation development.

During the event, State ATM Corporation handed over the chairmanship of Eurasia CC to RSE “Kazaeronavigatsiya”. Igor Moiseenko, Director General of State ATM Corporation, made a report covering the work of Eurasia CC over the three-year period (2016-2019) and set out the major priorities for further long-term development. Igor Moiseenko provided statistics on air traffic volume changes in the Russian Federation, noted the success in implementing the ACCs consolidation programme, elaborated on the measures to ensure flights regularity and safety during peak periods, shared information on commissioning of the new airport Gagarin and the third runway at Sheremetyevo airport, as well as pointed out the importance of the modernization of Joint ATM System. Igor Moiseenko also outlined the key priorities in staff training and career guidance.

Delegates and invited guests noted the high level of event organization provided by RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia". The next 38th joint meeting of Coordination Council and Coordination Group of Experts “Eurasia” is scheduled for spring 2020.
