The Eurasia Coordination Council completed its work in Astana

The Eurasia Coordination Council, which involves ANSPs from 8 CIS States, has just concluded its 31-st meeting.
The Eurasia Coordination Council, which involves ANSPs from 8 CIS States, has just concluded its 31-st meeting. About 80 delegates from 14 States took part in its work. Along with eight traditional participants, the meeting was attended by representatives of ANSPs from Germany, Lithuania, Estonia and international organizations – IATA and IAC. The meeting was opened by Mr. Ulukbek Rakhmanov, chairman of the Eurasia Coordination Council. Mr. Zamir Saginov, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a welcome speech.

During the meeting the Eurasia Coordination Council members presented their reports on the activities of their organizations since the 30-th meeting held in June and were briefed on the results of the Coordination Group of Experts work. Special attention was paid to the aspects of establishment and development of the International Air Navigation Service “Vostok”.

Mr. Igor Moiseenko, Director General of FSUE “State ATM Corporation”, presented a report on the activities of the Enterprise. In his speech he described the air traffic volumes changes in the airspace of the Russian Federation, elaborated on the implementation of the Joint ATM System Modernization Programme, in particular, on the commissioning of Samara Consolidated ACC in June this year and ATS provision during the SCO and BRICS Summits. He also outlined the development plans of the State ATM Corporation for the next few years.

In addition, Mr. Oleg Senchukov, Head of Main ATM Center, briefed the participants on UAS flight operation procedures applied in Russian airspace.

All the delegates and guests expressed their appreciation for the excellent organization of the meeting hosted by «Kazaeronavigatsia».

The next 32-d meeting of the Eurasia Coordination Council and Coordination Group of Experts will be held on 25-27 May 2016.
