The airspace of Tyumen region covers 1,346,000 km² with 48,523 km of air routes including some 35,989 km of international routes. The area of responsibility includes 19 airports, 4 of them being international.

North Siberia Air Navigation is a pioneer in developing and implementing ADS-B in the Russian Federation.

Given the geographical setting of Tyumen region, all transit traffic via Trans-Siberian and Cross-Polar routes goes through the area of responsibility of the Branch.

A great part of traffic from Europe to Japan, Korea, and China operated along these routes is highly advantageous both for Russian and international airspace users, as these are the shortest routes between major airports of Asia and Europe.

One of the key objectives of ATC system modernization is the establishment of Tyumen consolidated ACC.
