Changes in ATS Route Structure

Pursuant to the Order of the Ministry of Transport No. 259 dated 9 July 2018 “On the Approval of ATS Routes” the ATS route structure shall be changed as of 11 October 2018.

Pursuant to the Order of the Ministry of Transport No. 259 dated 9 July 2018 “On the Approval of ATS Routes” the ATS route structure shall be changed as of 11 October 2018. The representatives of the Airspace Management Division of the ATM/ASM Department (State ATM Corporation) contributed to the preparation of the document.

9 international, 3 domestic and 23 RNAV routes shall be implemented. The increase of ATS route length totals 7,213 km.

A new international airway has been implemented in the interests of AOPA Russia enabling flights between the Russian Federation and Estonia.

New segments of RNAV transit routes have been implemented in the airspace of the Russian Federation at the request of Qatar Airways enabling flights to/from the Middle East and North America with an entry point into the airspace of Finland.

2 RNAV routes have been implemented within Kaliningrad ACC to optimize Kaliningrad transit route network.

Furthermore, two more proposals have been implemented: IATA proposal regarding the implementation of a new RNAV transit route within Arkhangelsk and Murmansk ACCs as well as United Airlines proposal regarding the implementation of Cross-Polar RNAV route (2,500 km).
