The “Archipelago 2024” workshop takes place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

From 8 to 21 July, the Sakhalin Region hosts the Annual educational workshop "Archipelago", the main venues for which are Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the Pushisty airfield in Korsakovsky district and Tunaycha Island (Korsakovsky City District, Sakhalin Region). The event was organized by the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Platform, the Government of the Sakhalin Region, the Strategic Initiatives Agency (ASI), the NTI Project Support Fund and the University 2035.

The “Archipelago 2024” is the year’s main event for launching new marketplaces, initiatives and businesses − the dronosphere, biotech, and creative economy. The event brought together 4,500 participants from 78 regions of the country.

Participants of the Archipelago will test “sky control” technologies, demonstrate more than 30 types of modern Russian equipment for detecting and protecting objects from UAVs, and test marine drones, including unmanned boats.

Sakhalin was chosen as the workshop venue for a reason. Over the years, drones have been actively used in the region: they monitor forest fires, road conditions, spontaneous landfills, deliver biomaterials and healthcare products. The Government of the Russian Federation has designated the Sakhalin Region as the Unmanned Aviation R&D site.

The event program stipulates civilian exercises and drone competitions at Pushisty airfield until 17 July. Until 20 July, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk will be hosting the Dronosphere Forum "Architecture of the Sky" and different project sites like Quality of life, Sakhalin Hydrogen Project, Human+.

FSUE "State ATM Corporation" is one of the participants of the "Archipelago 2024".
