Ust-Kamchatsk, Neryungri and Kirensk aerodromes switch to QNH
On 8 August, Kamchatka Air Navigation, North-Eastern Siberia Air Navigation and Eastern Siberia Air Navigation branches of the State ATM Corporation made the transition to QNH and altitude measurements expressed in feet at the aerodromes of Ust-Kamchatsk, Neryungri and Kirensk.
The QNH transition activities are being carried out in strict accordance with the approved schedule for 2024.
The An-26 aircraft of the Kamchatka Airline successfully landed at Ust-Kamchatsk aerodrome using altitudes expressed in feet, the A-320 aircraft of S7 Airlines operated a flight to Neryungri, and the An-24 aircraft of Angara Airlines performed a successful landing at Kirensk aerodrome.
It should be noted that as of today 117 aerodromes in Russia have implemented QNH pressure with altitudes expressed in feet.
