Far East Air Navigation, Khabarovsk
The area of responsibility of the Branch totals around 2,500,000 km² – that is 10% of the Russian airspace. The airspace of the Branch covers around 1,450,000 km² (60%), the airspace over neutral waters of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan covers 1,050,000 km² (40%).
The Branch comprises 52 airports, 4 of them being international: Khabarovsk (Novy), Vladivostok (Knevichi), Blagoveshchensk (Ignatyevo), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo).
There are several main air traffic flows: Trans-Eastern, Trans-Siberian, Trans-Polar, and Cross-Polar. The Branch staff handle around 900 aircraft daily, 70% of them belonging to foreign airlines.
Khabarovsk Consolidated ACC was established on 1 November 2011. The implementation of the Khabarovsk Consolidated ACC project has already received the highest appreciation from the ICAO Regional Office.
